CEO – Rocco Falconer, winner of Vodafone foundation’s World of Difference Award in 2010, and runner-up of the Beacon Fellowship young philanthropist of the year award 2010. Rocco served as a Second Lieutenant in the army before going to Cambridge University where he got a double first in English. He founded Planting Promise in 2008 and has been running it ever since. Rocco spends most of his time in Sierra Leone overseeing both our schools, and our businesses.
UK Staff
UK Director – Julian Walton. Julian started working for Planting Promise immediately after it was founded in 2008. He graduated from Cambridge University with a 2.i in Chinese, and after a spell working for John Swire & Sons in China, he returned to the UK to work for Planting Promise full-time. As Director, Julian is responsible for both the day-to-day running of the charity in the UK, and the long-term strategic planning.
Marketing Director – Anna McCormick. Anna graduated from Cambridge University with a 2.i in English. Since then, she has worked in two major PR companies, and works for Planting Promise part-time. Anna is responsible for marketing, profiling and brand-awareness, and is helping to show us as the exciting charity that we are!
